For the last two months, I've been out in the woods working at a Boy Scout Summer Camp, but now I'm back in the real world. Camp always ends what feels so fast, but I'm already looking forward to 2019 (assuming that we can get a staff at Digital Worlds VR to run the place while I'm gone). I'll post some photos from the camp below.
Once I got back, one of the first things I did was sign the final version of the lease contract and got the key to my location in Cool Springs. We will be located at 1945 Mallory Lane, Franklin, TN 37067, Suite 170. I'll be spending the next couple of months working on the physical build out of the location and getting the PCs and VR systems built and setup.
We do some crazy things out at camp, basically our job is to have fun. The campfire image above is of our closing campfires for week one. Those guys on the stage are around six feet tall, so yes, those fire structures and the flames are freaking massive. The other image above is from a skit that we do called the Shaving Creme Song and it was a highlight of the year for sure. Every year, around the firth week of camp, we put on a fun night for the staff at the pool. This year, I brought my two mobile VR setups out to camp and put on some virtual reality for the staff. There just wasn't enough time in the night for everyone to get all the VR in that they wanted to, but we still had plenty of staffers try VR for the first time and they all really enjoyed it.
And for the last photo, I'll share our collective staff photo for the year that we took with an old truck that a few decades ago was one of the trash trucks they used and it's been cared for over the years by a staff member that used to work at Parnell, one of the camps out at Boxwell. What a good looking bunch.
